Today is a very special day! It's our studio's anniversary! This marks our 36th year! We look forward to creating many more dance-related memories with you all in the years to come!
Do's and Don'ts for the man:
When dancing with a woman for the first time, it is a good idea to begin with the basic steps and a slow dance then progress in stages towards the more intricate steps. In this way, you will have an opportunity to get better acquainted with one another's technique, abilities, and limitations. Of course, the more often you ballroom dance with a particular partner, the better the rapport will be between you. It's when you take a new partner out on the dance floor that you must exert the most skill in leading.
Nobody likes a show-off, particularly when he is showing off at another person's expense.
The ultimate measure of your experience as a leader is the grace and flowing line of your ballroom dancing. Avoid making sudden, jerky shifts in your step patterns. Each pattern should merge smoothly and fluidly into the next. Keep in mind that above all, dancing is an expression of artful motion.
